Lakisha Huggins,
CEO CPT1

Born in Montgomery, Alabama, I am a dedicated professional with a passion for helping others. In 1990, my family and I relocated to California due to job closure, and since then, I have committed myself to the healthcare field.

I graduated with honors from Nova Institute of Health Technology in 1997, which sparked my career as a certified phlebotomist for the past 26 years. For over 18 years, I had the privilege of working with Independent Professionals Phlebotomy Group, providing in-home blood draws that prioritize patient comfort and care. For the last 9 years, I have been a valued member of the Kaiser Permanente team, where I have consistently met all goals set by our management team.

Throughout my career, I have been honored with the 'Employee of the Month' award, achieved 97% ASQ scores, and received numerous accolades from patients who appreciate my commitment to excellence. I am highly regarded by my past employers, and I take pride in my ability to build strong professional relationships.

To ensure the best services and outcomes for every patient, I have assembled a team of trained professionals who share my dedication to quality care. Together, we strive to provide exemplary service and the best results for all those we serve.

”It is with great pleasure that I recommend Lakisha Huggins, a truly outstanding laboratory professional and my former employee at Kaiser Permanente from August 2016 to January 2019. Ms. Huggins was, without question, a model employee who consistently went above and beyond her duties.
Ms. Huggins was not only always on time but also a dedicated team player who was instrumental in keeping morale high among her colleagues. Her inspiring dedication to her patients and team members was evident in everything she did. She was so well-regarded that patients frequently requested her by name, a testament to her excellent clinical skills and compassionate demeanor.
I recall one specific afternoon at our Victorville clinic where a patient with special needs was very fearful of having blood drawn. Caregivers were having great difficulty calming the patient. With remarkable patience and a reassuring smile, Ms. Huggins spent about 15 minutes speaking with the patient, creating a sense of trust and safety. The patient eventually consented to the blood draw, which Ms. Huggins acquired with expert efficiency and professionalism. This demonstration of empathy, composure, and dedication reflects her approach as both an individual and a professional.
It is no surprise to me that Ms. Huggins has now leveraged these same incredible qualities to build Smooth Stick Mobile Labs. The very same dedication and professionalism she showed every day in her work now directly translates to the success of her company.
Her leadership, professional expertise, and dedication to both her work, and her patients, represent an uncommon and highly valued blend of qualifications. I offer my full and unreserved endorsement of Ms. Huggins and Smooth Stick Mobile Labs.”
